hello! ;D super happy today, cos 2i had an awesome bbq!! hahaha! ;D
in the morning i went to sch to discuss abt the bmt chalet performance. got scolded by the security guard for wearing slippers to sch. fine, i forgot, i only remembered abt the bbq. at least better than being scolded by mrs foong.
i didn't expect the discussion to end so fast, so i had to wait in sch for abt one hour, cos it would be pointless to go back home and go to hougang again, when i can just go to potong pasir from my sch, it's nearer to hougang. save bus and mrt fares too. haha okay, sidetracked. continuing. ya, so i waited halfway then jeslyn came and she was deliberating whether she should go home to change into the class tee and footwear, which took her near half an hour before she finally decided to. haha.
i wanted to wait for xinyu to finish her chinese song writing workshop or whatever it is, which was supposed to end at 1, but thank goodness i didn't cos it ended super late and i was already at hougang by the time she was done. luckily i was also meeting jaime at the hougang mrt station so it wasn't so boring. haha. i wanted to change into house tee there but i didn't know the toilet was outside the station and the signboards are confusing so it took me and later with jaime to find our way. haha some sort of amazing race: find the toilet. okay okay. super lame.
we decided to go to hougang mall first. aha, getting to the mall was another tricky situation. cos the mrt station is so big it was divided into 3 sections, and we had to figure our way by looking at the map and the signboards. hahaha. super fun.
later xinyu and wonglei came and we decided to go to those bakeries which look something like shophouses, cos the cakes there will be cheaper compared to the ones sold in hougang mall. the one we bought - which was super nice - was 1kg and cost only $26, but a cake we saw at the mall was super tiny and almost the same price. daylight robbery can.
ya, so by the time we reached jingwen's house it was 3 plus i think. there was a roll of thunder and the sky was getting gloomy so all of us were hoping it would not rain heavily before and during the bbq. well, it did rain, but thankfully it was slightly heavier than a drizzle, so it wasn't so bad.
ah yes, before the bbq! hahaha, at first we played werewolf. sian lor the first round i was the werewolf and dumb weiting keep trying to convince everyone i was the werewolf cos i kept 'looking furtively around'. and i wanted to kill her! stupid witch went to heal her. no i'm not calling that person a witch, but in the game there is a 'witch' role who can choose to heal the person supposedly killed, kill another person, or nothing at all. later truth or dare was super FUNNY. jingwen's bro got some of his friends over too (they were swimming when we came and they were making their way to the baby pool. yes. the baby pool. and they were screaming and you know in condos the sounds you make will be amplified....so ya. i think they're sec 3s by the way. i heard one of them saying so.) at first claris went to the room where jingwen's bro and company were in, and asked for a roll of toilet paper. HAHA! then later xinyu at first chose truth but later chose dare so she was made to hand every single person in the other room a small section of the toilet paper. HAHAHA! too bad i couldn't see it cos ppl were crowding around the room.
now, *drumroll please!*...the BBQ! luckily sarine knew how to start the fire so we were cooking in no time! hehe. in time too cos the supposed bee hoon didn't arrive, which was meant to quell our hunger a little in case the bbq turned awry. i'm not accusing fatin or anything but by the time we're almost done, the bee hoon arrived. i tried to force down three small helpings.
we had: chicken wings, prawns, crabsticks, sausages, sweet potatoes, sweetcorn and marshmallows! and jingwen's mother prepared fruit salad, which consisted of apple (i guess), honeydew, kiwi and raisins with mayonnaise! yummy, esp the raisins! jingwen's bro and co used the bbq pit after we're done and ya they used our food but i guess that's good cos we still had so much leftover.
and the playground is SUPER FUN. everyone absolutely loved it, esp the swing, cos we were fighting for the swings. haha! it's my first time in the year, like seriously. and i loved the baby pool!! hahaha. i didn't exactly swim in it, more accurately, waddled in it. everyone who went in did the same. the water's only up to my knees. haha, we played around like small kids. hehe. by the time i reached home it was already 9.40pm. me, jaime, regina, shirley, vithika and sabrina were the first few to leave. i wonder what time those who left the place later reached home.
if possible i want another AWESOME class bbq again!! ;DD
