Yay! This is officially the 50th post of this blog!! :D
Today I had to attend an enrichment class on how to massage injured muscles. I partnered Anni. Although I didn't buy the massage oil needed for the class, luckily Anni knows our 'neighbours', who have massage oil. I think I squirted too much when it's my turn to try...oops.
Anyway, the instructor, who is a physiotherapist, talked about what muscles do we have, injuries we can get when exercising and how to stretch properly. After all those, she went through the 'practical' stuff: how to massage an overly-stretched muscle! We concentrated on the hamstrings and calf muscles. We tried two times each. At the first try, I got certain steps wrong, and the instructor had to correct me. But luckily, on the second try, I got it correct. Hahas! Then the instructor said I did it very well and made me the 'model', which means everyone else in the class had to be tested, and the 'guinea pig' was me! Gosh, some people used so much strength!
After the enrichment class, we sec ones went to McDonalds for lunch. So 'er' (I decided to use this word when I don't know how to express a certain emotion)! I was tricked! When we finished eating our lunch, Kathy mixed so many different types of sauces into this disgusting puddle and claimed it could give off heat. And I actually believed them! No wonder they were talking about me not trying something yet. I put my fingers above the mixture and I forgot who - Kathy or Denise - went to push my hand into the thing!! Luckily only my fingers got it. Urgh :( But since it's just a joke, then I think it's OK :]
OK, I got to go. Bye! ;)

I. Am. Never. Going. Out. With. People. Whom. I. Am. Not. Close. To. I DAMN WELL know that I eat slowly, alright? I'll tell you the reason now: because I feel like puking once I try to eat fast. I don't like people to wait for me, too. You think you enjoy people to stare at you while you're eating?? Please be considerate. Kindly SHUT UP if you want to comment on my eating speed. And you jolly well know who the hell I'm refering to, if you're one of them.I think I'm slowly being ostracised by my friends. I don't even know if I can call them 'friends' now. I like being quiet, but it does not mean I'm oblivious to my surroundings or anti-social. True, I don't like going out with people, but I can make it an exception if the people inviting me are my close friends. SO? If doing things you dislike makes you popular in class or well-liked by your peers, then I choose to do things my way: be quiet and speak when spoken to. Or according to my mood. I find no point if I force myself to come and play a game uninvited or go out with people when they speak less to me, since it's a near-unavoidable thing as 'hanging-out' at malls or the cinemas seem to be the only possible ways to bond one another together. I don't know if others want to be friends with me because they pity me or something, since I look so 'friendless'. Who wants fake friendship? If someone can give me suggestions to make myself more 'likeable', it's greatly appreciated. And kindly excuse my vulgarities.

OH CRAP. Today is damn great, man. Great. We had this freaking program at the com lab. If that thing never existed, I won't be in this mess now. Great. After we endured the boring talk, we went back to our coms. But too bad someone went to use #'s com, so she shared my com with me. The instructor let us visit her blog, and I turned my head to check the url on the board. I hate people telling me what to do, especially those act-smart and bossy people. # went to tell me the url, while I was starting to type, and pointed at the space where you type in urls. Fine, I tolerated that, but I was mad, and I let it show by slamming the keys on the keyboard wordlessly. After that, I typed the url wrongly. # pointed again and told me I typed wrongly. I already spotted my mistake and was changing it. So I flared and raised my voice. I told her I knew the typo error, and she defended herself by saying she was just 'informing me'. I was thinking: WTH! Who needs your d***ed information when I am not BLIND!! I told her to shut up and and stop acting smart. Thankfully, she didn't retaliate and simply walked to another com.OK, kindly do NOT see me as a crazy, stupid person. Yes, I know I'm hot-tempered. I lose my temper very easily. But the problem is, she knows I'm like that, and I told her before that I dislike bossy people. GREAT. And we've said earlier in the day that we'll make a (very late) birthday gift for my other friend tomorrow. So I don't know if the promise is still on. Should I bring the materials I'm supposed to bring? OH CRAP!!!

Yay!! I can go for the KL trip! :D Confirmed, because the t-i-c gave me the parents' consent form and itinerary for the trip. Wow, I'm getting nervous...only 20 more days!! But I have to pay such a large amount of money, even after the school's subsidised 50% off the price. I have to pay $200 plus! But since it's a 4-days trip, I guess the price is rather reasonable (??). Haiz, plus, I only have three shirts, one house tee and two PE tees. Obviously, it's not enough! I dunno if i can wear home clothes or the school uniform on the last day, since there's no training on that day. And the teachers are giving us our holiday homework already! Argh, I have Geography, History, English, Chinese and Science! T.T The homework is so thick too! (OK, actually I have 25 worksheets, but still! WTH. Time flies away before my very eyes.) And guess what? I have, let me see, 25 training days for the holidays! (Boy, the number 25 really likes me alot.) Plus, I still want to go through the books for next year. So I have barely time to rest...ya, I know, I should not expect any free time since I'm Sec One already, going to Sec Two! But, haiz...

Drats, I can't shake off the nagging feeling that I may not be selected for the KL trip!! I guess I really wanna go, because I don't wanna be left out, and I really think I can benefit from the trip. I really dunno!! Because the badminton people keep asking me if I'm going and whether it's confirmed. They still came to my classroom to ask me if I'm going, and repeated their question as if to make sure they didn't hear wrongly! And i forget who (i think it's either the t-i-c or the coach) asked me if I'm keen on going and I believe they didn't ask the rest of the people that question! And I'm so lousy when it comes to skills! I seriously hope that I am crazy and letting my imagination run wild. If it means I can go, and have already been selected in the first place, then I'd much rather the t-i-c come and tell me, rather than tell someone to pass the message to me! Well, I am 'half' comforted by the fact that my friend told me that the t-i-c said I am selected to go. And when he asked me if I am keen to go, that was because I accompanied my other friend to ask him if she could go. So perhaps he just asked me since I'm there. Hopefully bahs.

Today is as mundane as ever, besides training. Humph, today is supposed to be Promotion Day, that is, the graduation of the Sec 4s, so it's a holiday. And there's still training! *angry* Before training, we had a briefing on the KL trip at 1.30 pm. So we don't have to stay in some kampong after all! Yippee! It's a hotel instead. Because it's not a school we're going to. They didn't say much, just that we have to set off at 6 plus to avoid the 7 o'clock jam at the checkpoint, and most probably reach there at 2 plus?? I think I heard wrongly. How can a bus ride take 7 hours? But the it's KL after all, so maybe it's plausible. Still, it's very sian leh, staying in the bus for so long! Haiz. Well, I heard the 'little holiday' will be quite fun, because after training we can go shopping at the shops nearby the hotel!

Right, today passed like any normal day, thank goodness (and I mean it). That is, besides a few 'special' stuff. We had to go to some art exhibition at 10.30 am. I finished reading my January issue of 'Teenagers Digest' at 9.30 am (yes, January issue. I'm aiming to finish the whole year's issues by end of October, so I can clear my cupboard and recycle them! Wahaha. I also don't want to waste my Edusave money. So far, I have cleared two issues), so I had nothing to do until 10 am, which was our recess time. So I tidied the class cupboard (it's not that smelly, guys [or girls]). And I extremely detest that horrible art exhibition!! Most of the works are damn disgusting and disturbing. Why must most 'art works' be so disturbing? Whatever with those nonsense of 'mind-provoking', 'self-reflective' and all that shit! I'm afraid I'll get nightmares...hopefully I don't! It totally creeps me out. The guide explained that the three buildings we went into to look at the art works have been standing there since the 1930s! That's, like, 70 odd years already! Actually, I feel a little sad, because the buildings are going to be torn down soon and the land is to be used to hold a hotel. When we went back to school at 1 pm, the t-i-c with us said something, to my horror! I had to pay $2 from my Edusave for that stupid exhibition!! WTH! And the school has already subsidised for us $3! So the actual fee is $5! They still gave us a free ticket to another art exhibition! Like as if I'll go there! I hate that thing and I still have to pay for it! I'm so angry until I can explode!!!!!

I feel like crying!!!...Today is like the worst day ever!! Firstly, everyone found out about their position in class and in the whole level...omg, i don't want to talk about it! I understand why my class position is like that, but I totally CANNOT accept such a low position for level position!!!! I know that I'm fighting against elites in this school, so I should be expecting this kind of result, but still, I seriously couldn't imagine myself getting this kind of grade!! It's not that I did not study at all for the exams or something! The worst part of it is that I DID study and I'm left to grieve over such stupid positions! I feel so stupid. Maybe I am. Secondly, I don't know how my parents will react to it...and they're already mad (er...not so now, but just now they were like erupting volcanoes. Thanks to my muddleness, I forgot that I'm having CCA training in school and not at the usual place, so my dad went to the usual place and waited for me... luckily we could be released half an hour early, if not they'll just get more angrier). Most probably they'll buy the books needed for next year (we've already gotten the booklist) and tell me to start revising...whose parents won't? And I don't have the slightest idea on how to revise for Literature!! I'm just afraid they'll tell me in an I'm-terribly-disappointed-in-you tone. And sigh!! I hate it. Thirdly, during training, I actually lost in a friendly match against a P6 girl!!! She's from DSA, of course, and she's quite good in skills. I admit, I'm lousy. I forgot the score (initially, I was keeping track, but I was too tired and the P6 girl ended up keeping track, even though she didn't voice it out. So it was a relief when the match ended), but maybe it's a good thing...still, dang it! Only two miserable good points that barely lighten up my mood: firstly, finally I've managed to add links, thanks to Wei Ting. I'll add some more links some other time. Secondly, I sabo-ed Lemon! When the form teacher was picking people to talk to, I remembered about Lemon and pointed her...wahaha! That's your just deserts for laughing at me, you this gigantic Lemon!

Today is quite tiring. The day starts off with the Cedar Open House, which was quite...boring. Because I am in the last shift, which is from 1 - 2pm. Since it was already finishing, there weren't any parents around, so we started packing up at 1.20pm. As I stayed back to help tidy the place, I was there for half an hour. Then I left for my grandma's house, where I'm writing this post. I'm here to see my cousins, along with my family. I feel so bored, man! Cousins are sleeping now, and my mum is downstairs buying sandals for my second younger brother, so no fun. And the laptop battery is dying on me (14 minutes left)! I don't think I can charge the battery since the study room (which is my auntie's room) is occupied by Ernest, one of my cousins. So I have to off soon. Then I'm only left with Teenager's Digest. Sigh...I'm feeling sleepy now. These few days I seem to have sleeping problems, but it's getting better though. Recently, I'm always sleeping and waking and waking and sleeping throughout the night. I can't understand this since the exams are over and this is clearly a sign of stress! Maybe the KL trip is the cause since it's been bugging me from the day I knew of it. It better be good, to make up for my lost sleep (and eye bags). To add all the tiredness, I'm all stiff from yesterday's gym exercise. Even lifting up my arm or straightening my back hurts...OK, now the battery's charging. Good. So I can complain more...
Hey, I'm back again! To fill you in with today's stuff. Nothing much happened today, like any normal day. But just want to touch on two things:1) School hours: Today is, like, quite creepy. During Reading (a period for everyone to read their books), my form teacher was picking out students whom he has never talked to before. He's supposed to talk to someone during Reading. So after someone, it was my turn. And that silly Cara keep laughing at me lor!! I'll get you for that!Anyway, I was hoping that he was not going to choose me, so I put on a 'don't care' look and flipped at my book. But drats, he just walked up to my seat and said, "I know I haven't talked to you before," Tarnations. So we went out to the bench outside the classroom. And the interrogation began. He said I was very quiet in class asked me to ask more questions in class in future (ya, I know, I don't remember myself participating in any teacher-student question-and-answers volunteerily since the start of the year). He also asked me what is my CCA and where I live. On the topic of CCA, he said: try to enter school team, excel in whatever you do. He also asked me to tell the teacher-in-charge for badminton to take videos of us training, so we can observe our play. Thankfully, he was joking -.-When talking on my address, he claimed to have never heard of the street name I live in, and when I gave him the name of the CC near my house he told me that the streets of Singapore have many nicknames, like Chinatown (he even told me on how Chinatown got its nickname). The name of that CC was one of them. Then later he asked if I had any problems with home or school. Luckily the bell rang and the English teacher (my saviour!) came. So he left and I was set free! But the talk was not that bad...sort of. 2) Training: We went to train in the gym. Quite fun, actually, although one of the equipment there required the user to lift weights up using a handle (damn heavy, even though the weights were set to the minimum). I hope we can do that more often. Although it was slightly cramped because we had to share the gym with the T&F people (Cara again, giving me that big wide grin when she saw the skipping rope. We were supposed to skip 1000 times each training, but we don't care), it was much better compared to normal training days. I was even praised by my seniors when I did an extra exercise. Waha! And before training, t-i-c told us the people who may be entering the school team. And I'm one of them! So I have to train hard to excel! :DBut one extremely bad thing: next year, the training schedule will change to Tuesday, Thursday and SATURDAY! Walao, they even make us come back for the weekends!! Dang it. Sigh... -.-II

I have three concerns:Firstly, well, all my hopes for the badminton KL trip to be changed to another date are DASHED. CRUSHED. I'll have no choice but to accept fate. Fate means missing the 6R chalet!!!!!Secondly, I'm in a dilemma. Tomorrow is the Cedar Open House and my shift is from 1 to 2 pm, which is the end of the event (hope I see Hong Wen people there!). Frankly, I'm quite nervous. I don't know what to say if people approach the booth and ask questions. What if I don't know how to answer?? I'm going to shame everyone...Anyway, to my point. The badminton sec ones are planning an outing to Orchard, after the Open House, and I don't know if I should go. Alright, debating session: Good point: 1) fostering stronger bonds, which is particularly important, since I'm with them (whether they like it or not!) for at least 2 more years, and I'm an introvert. Bad points: 1) I don't feel like going. Waste of time. Ya, I know, I have all the time in the world to play, since the EOYs are long over. 2) Money, money and money. Before leaving for home after training, we have to warm down, so we began talking about the outing. To my utter dismay (or relief), the suggestions Neoprint and movies were mentioned. That did it. OK, bad points win. Once my savings are threatened, I refuse and will not see any reason for going. You might (or will, since my keep emphasizing on money) think that I'm a money-minded person, but think about it. The price of everything is rising like crap, so I have to watch my spendings. If I'm not so skinny, I may spend less on food (even though I am currently refraining from buying drinks, including 100 Plus for training). Even if I want to turn back and change my mind about the outing now, it's too late. Maybe not. But I've already told my friends that I'm not going, because I'm going to my grandma's house instead, to see my adorable cousins, which is just two blocks away from my school. Since I'm not that close to the other sec ones, it's easy to make the decision. Sometimes, not being so sociable is a good thing. But I wonder if they would think I'm running away from them or something? Hopefully they won't think so and leave me out! NO!!Thirdly, I don't know how to add links! Can someone teach me??
Thursday, 9 October 2008
Yippee! I have a new blogskin!! This time, with pandas! Siao liao. I know I already mentioned it in the tagboard, but I'm too elated! I managed to get everything near perfection (my version), I've solved the problem about the repitition of posts, personal info, etc, except for the links. I'll get to the links tomorrow or Saturday. Maybe Sunday, since five hours of Saturday will be taken up by the Cedar Open House (9 am - 2 pm). Do you know of the radio station named Gold 90 fm? And its little game of spotting cars and giving away prizes like vouchers? Ya, it was such a coincidence that they decided to stop near the entrance of the carpark leading up to the Bishan Stadium on Wednesday, which was yesterday. We train in the Bishan Clubhouse, which is just beside the stadium. My dad decided to stop by the van, where four people with black t-shirts were giving away free mineral water. A rather old woman (who we suspect is Audrey Ying) gave us two bottles of water and another woman let my dad fish out a ping pong ball from a green bag. But he didn't manage to get the ball with the word 'Gold' on it, so we couldn't win anything. Hahas!
Me back! Well, I'm still fuming over the KL trip, because it falls on the 6R chalet day >:( Hopefully they'll change the dates, so it won't clash. I won't mind if it's around the chalet dates, so long as they change the dates so I can go to the chalet! And the holiday training schedule is tuesday, thursday and friday. To make things worse, the 1I class gathering falls on a friday! So I miss TWO class gatherings because of badminton. They had better let us stay in a respectable place in KL. We better not stay in some rundown kampong with the people there! I can (barely) stand long bus rides but not dilapidated 'houses' that are not fit for human inhabitation!! I understand that a hotel costs alot so I'm not expecting a hotel stay. If you ask me, I'd much rather they let us stay in a motel. If they're so cold-blooded as to make us pay for the rooms, a motel is much much better than a hotel. To me, cost comes before comfort (well, it actually depends, but it applies most of the time, me being a money-minded person). Switching back to the 1I class gathering, the chalet idea was suggested during the discussion (actually, it's not really a discussion, the monitoresses having to shout so much over the noise some inconsiderate people were making just to get our attention. Poor things. But I did pay attention!). But chalet rooms are very expensive and most probably fully booked already. So we ended up deciding on a trip to Sentosa! Sounds like tons of fun! But...sigh...because of badminton. Hopefully they can change the date. Hehe. The sec ones in badminton are talking about some outing (strictly speaking, it's shopping. My money...!). Actually, I don't mind much, if they don't force me to spend money, of course, like on Neoprint or those money-sucking things. I see them most of the time, ya really. Is three times a week enough to be called most of the time? So why bother waste money on mini-sized photos?? Pity no one shares my perspective. Of course, they must be rich to think the opposite of my point of view, and it's not decided yet. It better not be the case.

Bleah bleah bleah...I don't believe it!! The whole badminton team (I think, since Mr Wee said 'everybody had to go') has to leave for Malaysia on 10 NOVEMBER!!! Yes, which exactly falls on the 6R class gathering day!! Urgh! For four days three nights! On Friday, the teacher-in-charge will brief us on it. So I can't really say anything yet. And Friday's training is so packed with physical training. Oh great. I really look forward to gym exercise. In school, too. Which means I can't hope for a shorter training time. Anyway, everyone got back their exam papers today! And...er...I didn't really fare to my expectations. Well, at least most of my grades are between the A1 to B4 range, as I had hoped. The two subjects that 'make me proud' are History and Science (I don't want to talk about the rest. Maybe Chinese. I just need ONE MORE MARK to get A2!! So infuriating). Well, what's over is over. No point brooding over it. But today is, like, a very bad day. After school, as usual, since the exams are over, there was badminton training. Due to a shuttlecock shortage crisis, we sec ones ended up fighting for shuttles. Well, not really quarelling, but it did turn a little ugly. Thanks to near-snapping tolerance, a 'face-off' was avoided. And I don't know what's wrong with **. She seemed so moody. Ya, I know I commited a number of mistakes (and stupid ones, too, especially when I didn't move to return the ball and had to make her run, even though she told me to move. But I was in front and I assumed she was getting it since she's at the back!), but even though we won she still looked...er...shall stop here. I wonder if she's mad at me or something? On a lighter note, my brother finished his PSLE today. When I finish my exams, my brother starts his PSLE on my last exam day. When he finishes his exams, my second brother is about to start his exams, oral first. Do you remember yourself going through the three components of oral: passage, picture description and conversation, when you're in P1?? The school my second brother attends is 'xiao', torture the students. OK, gotta go.
Tuesday, 7 October 2008
Yay! I finished Breaking Dawn on Sunday! Reached my target successfully! Crazy liao...OK...I didn't mean all those rude remarks...just a bit mad (??). Because I found out the most of the other CCAs have started training as well, so it isn't so bad. And yesterday's training went quite well, too, surprisingly. No running and no physical (which means push-ups, sit-ups and something else)! No running, thankfully due to the weather. And maybe no physical because we just resumed training. I think there is such a thing as retribution, because I'm suffering from muscle aches on my right arm :( Serves me right.Anyway, I sincerely hope that the holiday training days will not clash with the 6R class gathering. Plus any 1I class gathering. I don't want to have to come up with excuses or look stupid in front of the teacher-in-charge. Besides, I already missed many, many days of training (2 weeks due to a shin splint), so I really can't afford to skip too many more, if you get my point. Ah well, I'll have to play it by ear then, not that I can do anything about it :II'm really scared about tomorrow! Because we'll be getting our papers back!!
Friday, 3 October 2008
YIPPEE!!!! The exams are OVERRRRRRR!!!!!
Two things that dampen my mood: 1) Now it's the tension of waiting for the results. 2) Training starts next Monday, when it's supposed to be a no-school day (due to the CSP exam). Curse ** ***. Curse him to the darkest, deepest pits of the world (I don't want to say anything offensive).
OK, enough of the cursing. Now, I am determined to finish Breaking Dawn by Sunday. Sounds impossible (for me), because the book has 754 pages. But I think I hardly have anymore time after Monday's training, even though I don't have to go to school on Tuesday, as it is marking day. Still, I might be too worn out after the training because I haven't been exercising since the start of September (but I'm still skinny as ever). That's, like, a month!! Dang, I just wish I won't collapse or something, during training (*touchwood*). But, why oh why, must he be in such a hurry, and has to start immediately, without giving us a break, to rest our brains???? And now he must torture us physically?? Maybe he takes pleasure in torturing us. Ya, must be. He's supposed to give us three weaks to revise, and the rush to resume training makes me think he's really reluctant to give us those three weeks. I can't imagine the schedule during the EOY holidays. Urgh!!!!! Hopefully, he reduces the training to two days a week. It's really time-consuming and costly to travel so far away for so many days. And the training place is so far away from my house! I may need to switch trains. Oh, and each training is three to four hours. Imagine the exhaustion.Hmm...to look at the positive side of life (for now), I can relax after weeks of revision and finally get down to Breaking Dawn!
